Brooks Koepka recently opened up about his strict fitness regime at the LIV Golf press conference in Jeddah. The golfer joined the Saudi-backed league following the footsteps of Phil Mickelson, Dustin Johnson, and Bryson DeChambeau. Koepka has made numerous records on the PGA Tour. But his recent interview at LIV Golf’s press conference displayed his seriousness towards maintaining his skills.
Brooks Koepka disclosed his secret behind staying fit
LIV Golf has taken away many players from the PGA Tour with their lucrative offers. Although he didn’t mention moving to the new tour for money, Brooks Koepka‘s transition along with many other players, forced the PGA Tour to increase their purses. “I feel very comfortable with the decision that was made. I’m very happy and I did what was best for me.” Koepka said about his decision to shift to LIV Golf.

Like other LIV Golf defectors, Koepka also received massive criticism for his transition to LIV Golf. However, his dedication to the game remains the same despite the change of schedules. In his recent LIV Jeddah press conference, Koepka was asked why he turned down a chocolate ice cream after his round. And to answer the question, the golfer said, “I haven’t hit the gym in a long time.” He added, “Just trying to be healthy, man.”
Although he admitted that the ice cream “looked good” to him, he preferred not to eat one. Koepka also talked about his plans of “going to ramp it up again” after the Miami event. The golfer had been skipping the gym for quite some time but is ready to hit some iron soon after the finale of LIV Golf.
Koepka says he’s in the best physical state that he’s been in the last 3 years
When a reporter asked the golfer if he felt fit enough to be playing professional tournaments, Koepka said, “Oh, by a mile, yeah!”. He also mentioned having a few “hip issues” throughout the year. But he also mentioned that his body has started to come back together.

Koepka said that he was in the best physical state compared to how he felt in the last three years. He also mentioned that his golf swing was getting better. But the golfer was disappointed about the fact that LIV Golf had only two events left this season. According to the schedule, there will be a three months long break for the players after the finale in Miami.
