Rafael Nadal has posted his first image from his wedding to long-time partner Maria Francisca Perello.

The pair tied the knot back in October 2019 but the tennis star hadn't posted any images from the big day himself.

Translated from Spanish to English, Nadal's caption reads:

"And to say goodbye to all of you I leave you with this last great memory of 2019 and take the opportunity to wish you all the best for 2020!"

The newlyweds married in a Spanish castle in Majorca called La Fortaleza, which is believed to be the most expensive property in Spain, Insider's Meredith Cash previously reported.

They had 350 guests, including the former King of Spain, Juan Carlos I.

Few details or images of the wedding have been made public. However the US Open Instagram account posted two pictures of the happy newlyweds to congratulate the pair.

💍🥰 Congrats to the newlyweds!
